World Book Day!
Wow, what a day! Every child looked amazing and embraced the day. The children took part in a range of activities, which involved our wonderfully talented author, Sarah Oliver.
One of the tasks was to write a biography of a famous person. Take a look at some of the examples below. They also got a chance to read, visit the school library and see year 3 all dressed up too. Thank to all parents for providing the costumes and celebrating this special day.

We have been using our disciplinary knowledge in Science today, by observing our potatoes and seeing what changes have occurred. Here are some pictures of your scientists in action, observing that hair-like roots have grown, there are sprouts and shoots coming up, some mould has grown on the bottom of the roots and we think there might be some clones appearing!

During D&T, Pine class design, created and used their modelling skills to make a moving animal model using a cam mechanism. Some animals moved in a linear motion and others moved in a rotary motion. Mrs Vassiliou is very proud of every model the children made. They all look amazing. Well done Pine!

Art Day 2021
Pine class have had an awesome day creating and perfecting their optical art skills and comic book doodles. They watched videos and participated in an exciting live zoom session, with James Parsons (comic artist), where they practised drawing a comic book cover and manga characters. Mrs Vassiliou was so proud of how Pine embraced the art techniques and the effort each child displayed throughout the day.
Please take a look at a sample of the work we produced.
